About Horst

The Horst Group traces its roots back five generations - to the late 1800s - when Joseph Horst built Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Terre Hill, Pennsylvania. Today, Horst is a regional construction leader, with services including construction management, general contracting, excavating, masonry and painting.

In 1969, the Horst family added property management services to its successful construction company. Founded originally as a company to serve residential, commercial and industrial properties, it quickly grew to other areas like hospitality, senior housing and condominium/homeowner management.

Horst acquired its first insurance agency in 1981 - an agency that began in 1917. Today, after several more acquisitions, it is a leading South Central and Eastern Pennsylvania independent insurance agency with commercial and personal insurance, employee group benefits and wholesale insurance brokerage.

From one man building a small church in the late 1800s to many talented men and women serving three core businesses, the Horst Group remains passionate about doing the right things - the right way.
