MARIE C. SIMPSON HIRED AS PROPERTY MANAGER OF THE VILLAGE OF PINEFORD, A HORST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT MANAGED COMMUNITY

(Manheim Township) Lancaster, PA (July 16, 2000) With five years experience in community management, Marie C. Simpson of Middletown has been promoted by Horst Property Management (HPM) to the role of property manager of The Village of Pineford, a residential community located in Middletown. The Village of Pineford is one of portfolio of 7 properties with a total of 2,253 apartments and townhomes throughout Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Hershey and Reading.

In her role as property manager at the Village of Pineford, Simpson will manage a staff of 16 to provide outstanding customer services to residents of 742 apartments/townhouses on 52 acres, oversee daily operations, maintain expenses and improve profitability.

Simpson has worked for HPM primarily at the Village of Pineford and has spent some time at other communities including Briarcrest Gardens in Hershey. During the past five years Simpson has worked within the roles of leasing representative, front desk receptionist, assistant manager, residential administrator and manager, gaining invaluable experience as she cross-trained in all facets of property management.

Prior to employment with the Horst Group, Simpson worked for Pitney Bowes as a postal consultant. She has her Accredited Residential Manager designation and is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a Bachelor of Science in business management.
