SANDRA R. GORDON PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT OF CLIENT SERVICES BY HORST INSURANCE, A HORST GROUP COMPANY

(Manheim Township) Lancaster, PA (July 30, 2000) Sandra R. Gordon of Lititz, Pennsylvania, was promoted from agency accounting and systems manager, a position that she held from 1998 until present, to vice president of client services by Horst Insurance, a Horst Group company. In her new capacity, Gordon will lead client services for the commercial lines department; provide accounting services for the Agency Management System and manage all system and third party software. She will also contribute her experience and skills serving as a middle manager for the Horst Group.

Previously, Gordon served as accounting manager in the Horst Group's transaction processing department from 1995 to 1998, accounting/office manager for Gingrich Stoudt Insurance (former name of Horst Insurance)from 1991 to 1995 and Accounting/Office Manager for the Horst Group's now divested Power Pro Equipment in New Holland from 1988 to 1991. Her 23 years of accounting experience, ten of which are in the insurance field, enable Gordon to share her specialized knowledge of insurance accounting and the company's highly technical automated agency management system.

Prior to her 12-year tenure with the Horst Group companies, Gordon worked for Clark Filter as accounting supervisor, Metropolitan Edison as a budget analyst and Sperry New Holland as a senior accountant.

Gordon is a graduate of Elizabethtown College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. She earned her Property & Casualty Insurance License in 1991 and has been a board member of ASCNet (Applied Systems Client Network) since 1999. Gordon is married and has two daughters.
