LINDA S. BURKEY PROMOTED TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS DIRECTOR OF THE HORST GROUP'S HORST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

(Manheim Township) Lancaster, PA (August 31, 2000) Nearly 16 years experience in property management underlies the promotion of Linda S. Burkey of New Holland to property management systems director for Horst Property Management (HPM). Having joined the Horst Group property management company in 1999 as commercial property manager, Burkey has quickly risen to this position of leadership through which she will serve as project manager for the implementation and supervision of a new property management software system. She will be responsible for maintaining the new system, coordinating upgrades and developing new ideas and strategies to accommodate the needs of third party management contracts.

In her new capacity, Burkey will contribute a thorough understanding of real estate management along with firsthand experience and knowledge of the daily requirements of maintaining a property management system. She also offers experience in personnel management and managerial and financial accounting that will augment her expertise in the management of a fully-integrated, computerized property management software system Before joining the Horst Group, Burkey worked for High Associates for 20 years, 13 of which as operations manager, managing the computerized property management system for all commercial operations and supervising the operational support department.

Burkey has an Associates Degree in business management from the University of Miami, her Pennsylvania Real Estate License, a certificate in real estate from Penn State University and an Accounting Certificate from Franklin and Marshall College.

Burkey is married, with one grown daughter and four grandchildren.
