CAROLYN BAUER PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT-JANITORIAL OF THE HORST GROUP'S HORST PROPERTY MANAGEMENT JANITORIAL DEPARTMENT

(Manheim Township) Lancaster, PA (August 15, 2000) Twenty-four years of dedicated service to the Horst Group in various administrative capacities has prepared Carolyn Bauer of Lancaster for her latest role as vice president-janitorial of the expanding janitorial department (formerly called Property Services) of Horst Property Management. Learning the business from the "inside out" while serving as executive administrative assistant for the Horst Group's president and chairman afforded Bauer the opportunity to be involved with diverse projects and business operations. Her forthright management style contributed to the success of the janitorial department when she joined the team as sales/operations manager in 1998. As general manager, Bauer provides leadership for the janitorial department, as well as generating new sales throughout Lancaster, Harrisburg, York, Lebanon, Hershey and Reading areas, ensuring quality service and exceeding customer expectations. She will also contribute her experience and skills serving as a middle manager for the Horst Group.

Bauer attended Harrisburg Area Community College and is currently attending Penn State University pursuing a degree in Business Administration.

She is married to an employee of Horst Construction and has three children.
