Horst Group Company Names-Changes on the Surface, Same Solid Service at the Core.

Founded in 1880 on the principles of "doing what we say with integrity" and good old fashioned hard work, the Horst family of companies is welcoming the next century with some exciting changes. Horst Group President & CEO, Rick Watson, Jr., said, "We are embarking on this new century with a fresh approach to serving our customers. We’ve changed our company names so the marketplace would readily recognize the breadth of services the Horst Group offers within our core businesses of construction, property management and insurance."

Horst Construction, founded 1880, will retain its name. However, the names of the trades in construction are changing. Bilran Excavating, named for Joseph A. Horst’s great, great grandsons Bill and Randall, founded 1972, will become Horst Excavating. Ash Painting, named for Abram S. Horst, founded 1972, will become Horst Painting. Modern Masonry, founded 1973, will become Horst Masonry.

Clabell Management, founded 1969, whose name was an acronym of its founders’ first names, celebrates its 30th anniversary with a name change, as well. Horst Property Management, its new moniker, is comprised of commercial, residential, hospitality and senior housing development and property management divisions, as well as the janitorial and service company, formerly known as Property Services, founded 1981.

Part of the Horst Group since 1981, Gingrich Stoudt Insurance, founded as S. Nissley Gingrich Insurance in 1917, and T.C. Hall Insurance has also changed its name to Horst. Horst Insurance will continue to offer personal and commercial insurance as well as certified financial planning through Horst Financial Services (formerly Associated Professional Services, founded 1966) with a division located in Lancaster and Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania.

Cornerstone Design Architects and Producers Insurance Network, also part of the Horst Group family will retain their names.
